BBIS invites experienced educators to join our Primary School Substitute Pool as on-call teachers (f/m/d).

Location: Kleinmachnow (Berlin region) – Local residency required.
Contract: Marginal employment (Minijob, up to €603/month).
Nature of work: On-call / Ad-hoc substitute teaching.
Rate: Competitive daily/hourly rate for days worked.
Start date: ASAP / Rolling intake.

About this role:
We are looking for reliable and professional Substitute Teachers to support our Primary School. This is a framework agreement for on-call assignments. You will step in when our classroom teachers are absent, ensuring that learning continues seamlessly in an inquiry-based IB environment.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING ACTIVITIES

Classroom Support: Assist with the delivery of lessons and ensure classroom consistency (ages 3-11) by supporting students' learning activities and maintaining a safe, respectful, and productive environment.
Instruction: Deliver prepared lesson plans across various subjects, maintaining the continuity of the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP).
Supervision: Ensure the safety and well-being of students during classroom time, breaks, and transitions in accordance with our Child Safeguarding Policy.

YOUR QUALIFICATION

Experience: Proven experience working with children in a formal educational or childcare setting (e.g., schools, certified childcare, or tutoring).
Work Permit: A valid German work permit is mandatory at the time of application.
Flexibility: Remain available for short-notice assignments, often responding to calls between 6:00 am - 7:30 am
Education: A background in Education, Pedagogy, or a related field (degree or ongoing studies) is highly preferred.
Language: Native-level or C2 fluency in English.
Mindset: You are reliable, resilient, and possess a positive "can-do" attitude with a strong commitment to the IB Learner Profile.

Proof of Measles Immunity
Extended Police Clearance (Erweitertes Führungszeugnis)

Proof of completed child protection / safeguarding training (invitation will follow)
