BBIS has an opening for a Teacher of IB DP Economics & IB MYP Individuals & Societies (f/m/d)

Full-Time: 30 teaching hours per week (40 working hours)
Start date: 1st August 2024
Limited initially until 31st July 2025

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING ACTIVITIES

Teach IB DP Economics and IB MYP Individuals & Societies
Innovative, connected, creative, collaborative, flexible and proactive professional, who has a passion for your subject
Have strong beliefs that all students can access and succeed in Individuals & Societies and that the cornerstone of student confidence is the acquisition of foundational content, skills, and understandings
Have a keen interest in promoting student well-being through teaching and learning in the Individuals & Societies classroom and beyond.Experience in teaching Business in the IB DP programme, although we might also consider candidates with experience in other similar backgrounds, as training can be provided as part of our extensive professional development programme
Teaching certification, preferably with a master’s degree in a related field.Experience in a similar role in international schools
Excellent references indicating a passion for teaching Individuals & Societies to high school students
Outstanding communication (both written and spoken)
Demonstrate at all times the learner profile attributes/dispositions
Conviction to the development of inquiry-based and conceptually driven curriculum units and educational programmes
Effective practice to utilize technology within teaching and learning

YOUR QUALIFICATION

You are an energetic, qualified, internationally-minded and appropriately experienced and qualified teacher, with a commitment to academic excellence and believe in a holistic education for every student
You are an innovative, connected, creative, collaborative, flexible and proactive professional with a passion for your subject and enjoy teaching students from grade 6 to 12
Experience in teaching Individuals & Societies in the IB programmes (MYP and DP) would be desirable, although we may also consider candidates with experience in the AP, A-Level; IGCSE or similar, as training can be provided as part of our extensive professional development programme
Experience in teaching, Theory of Knowledge would be an advantage
Teaching certification, preferable with a master’s degree in a related field
Experience in a similar role in international schools
Team player, resilient, positive and with a growth mind-set
Ability to motivate and inspire students and colleagues alike
High level of initiative, willing to work in an ambitious and dynamic school
