BBIS has an opening for a 1-1 School Assistant - Secondary School (f/m/d)

Part-Time. 24/40 or 32/40 hours per week
Start date: 1st August 2024
Limited initially until 31st July 2025

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING ACTIVITIES

To ensure a secondary school student with identified learning and/or language acquisition needs has access to the IB MYP curriculum through the provision of in-class support
To work collaboratively with mainstream colleagues to provide appropriate student support and the necessary program modifications and classroom accommodations
Track and report student progress against identified academic, social, emotional or behavioural targets
Collaborating with mainstream teachers and departmental colleagues for student success

YOUR QUALIFICATION

Educated to degree level
A ‘Special Needs’ or EAL qualification preferable
Relevant experience working with students with learning and/or language acquisition needs in a mainstream environment
Confident, self-motivated and with great people skills
Experience of collaborating and working in teams
Commitment to safeguarding students and young people
