BBIS has an opening for a Live-in Mentor (f/m/d)
Full-time: 40 hours per week
Start date: 1st. August 2025
Limited initially until 31.07.2026
YOUR QUALIFICATION
- Educated to degree level in a subject such as social work, teaching, pedagogy or youth work
- The stamina and dedication to live and work in a boarding environment Relevant experience working with students in a residential or pastoral setting
- Confident, self-motivated and with great people skills
- Experience of collaborating and working in teams
- Driving licence with permission to drive in Germany
- Comfortable to drive a manual transmission 7 passenger van
This is a full-time, term-time role, with a working schedule of mornings, afternoons, overnight duties and weekends. A one-bed apartment, inclusive of utilities, is provided at a substantially reduced rate but residence on-campus is essential.
Important: Before beginning the employment at BBIS, the following documents must be submitted:
- Proof of immunity against measles, which must have been confirmed by a doctor if you were born after 1970. Alternatively, a medical certificate of medical contraindication can be provided.
- The original certificate of the highest obtained (university) degree
- An extended certificate of conduct that must not be older than six months.
These documents are required to comply with legal and internal employment regulations.
